Spray Tan Booth

Spray tan booths release a coat of tanning solution evenly over the body and face. The solution dries soon and is used in place of real tanning outside in the sun. The user may then continue with his or her day while the tan develops and absorbs into his or her skin. Spray tan booths most famously use DHA-based tanning solution. DHA stands for dihydroxyacetone which acts on the amino acids in the layer of dead cells producing a darkening effect on the skin. After a visit to a spray tan booth, the skin will remain damp and cool because of the solution. The spray tan must be rubbed off well with a towel otherwise it may give the skin a hint of orange or a streaky hue. The spray tan booth will list instruction on what to do before and after using the booth. Make sure you follow them all diligently.

Most visits to spray tan booth visits will last up to three or five days on almost all skin types. The effects from the tanning solution start bronzing the skin in about three to five hours during the session and in twenty four hours; will reach its peak color.
According to frequent spray tan booth users the booths have the tendency to streak or cause uneven coloring. So you should make sure that you prepare your skin for the tanning process by both moisturizing and exfoliating. Users of spray tan booths should also first consult with their doctors if they are suffering from any known or unknown skin disorders or under any form of medication that will prevent them from having a sunless tan.

There are some important guidelines that you must follow when in a spray tanning booth. Wear protective eye gear. Most tanning booths will provide you with a set of goggles that must be purchased before you session. Tanning salons do not allow you with begin your sessions without them. Whether you’re tanning at home or at a salon, make sure you are wearing the goggles. They will protect your eyes against ultraviolet rays; prevent blindness and cataracts that could be caused by exposure to the tanning solution.

What you wear when you are at a spray tan booth is also important. Don’t wear any form of outfit that might leave scratched on the acrylic booth as these scratches could irritate your skin and cause abrasions.

Finally, it would be advisable not to visit tanning salons very frequently as too much exposure to high level could result in causing skin cancers and other affectations to the skin. Using spray tanning booths should not be an issue to worry about but while making sure you follow all instructions and take necessary precautions so you can enjoy your tanning experience to the maximum.
